A large slice of polished Australian opal hangs from soldered gold loops and a solid gold lentil. The pendant is attached to wire-wrapped opal rondelles. The 18mm solid opal has rainbow pinfire and has a raw back with veins of sandy colored stone matrix (see 6th pic.) The opal beads display mostly blues and purples with spots of vivid green and are linked with 14k wire to delicate 14k gold cable chain. The gold has been given a satin-finish and the 17 1/2" necklace is finished with a small spring ring clasp.
